Are comments mandatory?

It is possible to make the “comment” field in the review form optional if the merchant wishes. However, this field should not be removed entirely because we must give consumers the opportunity to write a comment if they wish.



Be careful, if consumers leave a rate without a comment, the review cannot be moderated. Indeed, it is impossible to refuse a review only on the basis of the rating.

Finally, we strongly recommend that you leave the comment field mandatory in the review form. The comments are taken into account in Adwords and Shopping by Google, this can help Brand SEO, as well,  the fact of having only rates has very little impact on the conversion rate.
